Edgecast has been actively monitoring the developing situation in Ukraine in addition to global threat alerts coming from various threat research groups and the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
Edgecast engineering and operations teams continuously monitor all network activities across our platform and maintain high operational readiness to respond to any application and DDoS attack. Our team is well equipped and prepared to help our customers address any security incident targeting their application delivered by our edge platform. Additionally, Edgecast has no point of presence (PoP) in Ukraine.
Moreover, Edgecast provides capabilities to help customers control access from sanctioned regions to their application(s) delivered by our edge platform. The Edgecast Web Application Firewall (WAF) allows our customers to quickly respond to changes in any situation via IP blocking, ASN blocking and geo-blocking using our WAF Access Rules. We also provide Custom WAF Rules to allow our customers to create and deploy complex traffic filters that manage access to their application from any location or network in the world.
In addition to implementing an access control policy and updating the WAF rules, we recommend that our customers review and patch any vulnerable internet-facing system(s) while also monitoring and securing all systems and data.
